As usual UNIVEM was invited by the “Vincennes en Anciennes” association (an association of classic cars) to attend the arrival of their famous event, the “Traversée de Paris”: hundreds of classic cars driving through Paris on Sunday morning. The finish line being in the castle of Meudon, which is on the edge of a wooded plateau, that offers views of the Seine and Paris. The unusual thing this year was that the main exhibition was about some very light vehicles: military motorcycles, such as Harley Davidson WLA, Indian 741B, Matchless G3 L, Gillet-Herstal 500 L from 1951, BSA M20 from 1953, a Cushman 53 (replica) and a  Welbike (also a replica).
Nevertheless, besides Jeeps and Dodge WC, Univem brought some heavy vehicles : Diamond T M20, International M425 and its semi-trailer, Half-Track M16, GMC CCKW tanker and CCKW dump truck. Next to the vehicles some tents and accessories were displayed. And as usual, the public praised the exhibition and was very pleased to see many wonderful things. Another great day for Univem!
